Our Story
LiviWell was co-founded by Dan Seewald, former Head of Worldwide Innovation at Pfizer, and Dr. Michael Ingber, a board-certified urologist and specialist in female pelvic medicine.
Their first product, Livi, is a story about what happens when we actually listen.
It started as a conversation between Dan and his wife. She had been bothered by an intimate health issue—one that had quietly persisted for years without ever being spoken aloud. Over the following months, Dan began researching the issue, listening to other women's experiences, and building an early concept for a solution.
Then came a chance meeting with Dr. Ingber that changed everything. Where Dan brought imagination and human-centered design, Dr. Ingber brought something equally essential: deep clinical knowledge and a desire to discuss the issue with patients, listen, and learn from their experience. Together, Dan and Dr. Ingber threw themselves into the problem — running experiment after experiment, gathering feedback from hundreds of women, and relentlessly refining the concept until it earned FDA clearance.
Livi is just the beginning. LiviWell's mission is to surface the unspoken needs of women's intimate health and meet them with the same rigor and care that went into Livi — without stigma, compromise, or judgment.
Dawn Halkuff
Chief Executive Officer
Ms Halkuff has extensive experience in women’s health and product innovation. She is a highly experienced board and executive leader, currently serving on boards that include Calibrate and Xeris Biopharma. Ms Halkuff’s over 20-year general management, commercialization, and marketing career includes leadership roles in wellness (Weight Watchers, Ideal Protein) and pharmaceutical (Pfizer, Therapeutics MD) companies.
Dr. Michael Ingber
Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ingber trained at Cleveland Clinic, is board-certified in Urogynecology, and is a leading expert in the study of women’s sexual health and wellness. He serves on the board of several urology companies and has helped bring products to market.
Dan Seewald
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer
Dan brings 20+ years of life sciences marketing and new product development experience. He is the former head of Worldwide Innovation at Pfizer and founder of the innovation consultancy, Deliberate Innovation.
Dr. Anika Ackerman
Wellness program at Garden State Urology
Anika is a board-certified urologist specializing in sexual health and leads the sexual wellness program at Garden State Urology.
Anika works with the LiviWell team to support medical and clinical decision making as well as patient engagement strategies and outreach.
